Specific primary prevention
Main goal of this project is to help people with healthy development of their character, with formation of ability to recognize what is important in their lives and what is less important. We are trying to influence children’s attitudes and behaviour towards drugless way of living and to support them in healthy lifestyle. Intention of this project is to help our target group to attain knowledge, skills, and attitudes supporting healthy lifestyle and then to help them to put these skills into effect in their behaviour not only during the program but also in future.
Our partial goals: to provide them with sufficient amount of objective information, to destroy myths and prejudices about addictive substances ( in the first place, about their affects and risks), to increase awareness about legal punishments for misuse of addictive substances, to strengthen positive relationships in the group, mutual tolerance, to strengthen abilities of independent decision making and awareness of their responsibility for themselves, to improve communication skills and ability to create friendly bonds, to control their anxiety and stress, to manage non-violent handling of conflicts etc.
We offer programs for pupils of the 9th class of primary school, for students of secondary schools, courses for parents, pedagogues, pastoral workers and others, who can find use for the knowledge of lectors PP, alternative use of free time for youths – Low-Threshold club
Contact and daily centre
Centre is intended for people experimenting with addictive substances, trouble making users of these substances, drug-addicted people , their relatives, partners and other important persons.
People can contact us even anonymously. Our services are freely accessible for all clients including anonymous clients. It covers contact work, basic consultancy, basic health care, HIV, hepatitis and syphilis tests, urgent care and complementary services.
