POINT 14 - AfterCare Center - Sheltered Housing
Sheltered Housing– RE-ENTRY HOUSE –is a means of social stabilization of client in form of temporary accommodation with related services (social help and therapy). It is intended for men from 18 up to 40 years of age, who ended the treatment in the therapy community for drug addicted people or in some institution of similar type.
This project builds a bridge between strictly structured therapy on the community and ordinary life. Regime is in the boundaries of common principles. For example: to stay in abstinence, find a job, some other suitable accommodation, to be back home until 24 hours, to pay rent properly, to attend regular meeting with their own consultant and attend group activities. Former clients who relapse can become clients once more.
Through the project Crises in the families of the former clients it is possible to accept clients to the residential program even with their family.
Our association runs: Flat in Jateční Sreet, with capacity of two beds and a house in Sušická Street with capacity of eight beds. Thanks to active help with looking for a job, our clients are successful in securing permanent labour relation. Our residential program is annually used by roughly ten residents, which means that its capacity is well used.
TC Plzen is card-carrying member of the association of nongovernmental organizations – department of after-treatment programs.
