CHRISTIAN HELP CENTRE - Duha "The Rainbow"

Mother centre (Centre for mothers on maternity leave) Rainbow wants, through its activity, to meet the needs of local community of parents with pre-school children. That is why it offers activities for parents and children together, then activities just for parents with parallel program for children and activities just for children. By activities just for children, we want to enable parents to find a part time job or to continue in their further education.
Activities:
- free playroom
- exercising for parents with children
- musical education club and musical therapy
- club for parents with children
These activities are two days a week. According to parent’s interest in Exercising for parents with children we intend to organise them more often in morning hours or even in the afternoon. Free playroom is a place for parents meeting and for sharing experience. There will also be possibility to put parents in touch with help organisations in case they have some personal problems. Simultaneously with free playroom, there will be musical education club and musical therapy. Club for parents with children has its own program which means: fairytale, motion games, rhymes, singing, art activity and time for play.
Seminars and training courses for parents
According to interest and demand we want to organise seminars with professionals, art workshops for parents, conversational English language courses, exercising etc. We also want to offer free internet. Simultaneously with these activities, there will be program for children. Courses will be in morning hours and in the afternoon.
Kindergarten
We organise so called Kindergarten for children. It works three days a week.
Kindergarten program is aimed at general development of child’s personality and it covers activities focused on development of intellectual, motion, aesthetical and emotional abilities. Children will be cared for by pedagogical workers. In the class, there will always be two of them from which at least one will have pedagogical education.
Team of workers:
Team of regular staff is meeting once a week for working session, exchange of experience and planning of further activities. Sessions are led by directress of our organisation.
Directress of our organisation
Is statutory representative, has final responsibility for workings of our organization and fundraising. She is in charge of public relations and is building up relationships with municipal council and other organizations, working with our target group, to improve cooperation. She is representing our organisation and secures workings of Christian help centre - Rainbow. She participates in preparation of program and workings of Kindergarten and approaches volunteers who want to participate in Kindergarten as assistant educators. She also secures lecturers for seminar for parents.
- graduated from Secondary pedagogical school, Karlovy Vary, specialised in kindergartens.
- graduated from Jabok- institute of social pedagogy and theology, Prague, with degree in social pedagogy.
The Head of the Kindergarten
Prepares and leads program of Kindergarten, puts forward thematic orientation of days or weeks and prepares exact program. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, she leads Kindergarten together with the directress of the organisation and on Wednesdays with volunteer or the head of the Parents club. In Kindergarten volunteers and the head of the Parents club are subordinate to the Head of the Kindergarten. She is also in charge of musical education club and musical therapy for parents with children and she is also one of coordinators of free playroom.
Graduated from the Faculty of Education, specialisation in Czech language and musical education for secondary schools, complete 12 years of Primary Art School, can play these instruments: violin, guitar, grand piano, flute
The head of The Parents club
Guarantees complete workings of the club, prepares playroom and program. Volunteers from parents, who participate in preparation of program for the club, are her subordinates.
- graduated in The Secondary school of prof. Švejcar, specialisation in public service activities (has A levels).
She leads Exercising for parents with children in different age categories, during the program, she helps the head of Kindergarten and is also one of coordinators of free playroom.
- She has experience with independent leadership of the Parents club.
Volunteers
We have four women volunteers, mostly users of our centre. They help the head of Kindergarten or Club with realisation of part of the program.
Lecturers
Our lecturers are professionals in different areas connected with the topic of family and caring for children. Themes of seminars and their number is chosen according to the need and interest of parents.
We will also need lecturers for courses for parents. That means English courses, exercising and art workshops. Courses for adults will be organised according to interest of our users.
